We’re on the #10 bus heading downtown. The lineup today at Whole Foods looks pretty great so we’re planing to hang out on their artificial turf for the day and drink some free healthy drink. Does coconut count as a vegetable or a fruit?

Guess who I saw again? The Beatnik Bandits strike again! They may be the hardest working band at SXSW 2018. Spotted at 6th and Congress. Sounds like Shakey Graves, Avett Brothers.

The Whole Foods line is really long. We’re gonna hang for a bit and see how it goes. The line is unpredictable but we’re in!

Urban Renewal Project – Fun band, impressed with this white girl rapper laying it down.

Lawrence – A super fun bro/sis duo channeling Stevie Wonder. Sis can wail and they get better each time I see them. The horn section ended the show in an audience dance with Deadpool.

KOLARS won best new band today! They may win best band of SXSW 2018. We ran into them at Fair Market and they are some of the nicest people. They really have no idea how fantastic they are.

Caroline Rose – Female power rock. She Didn’t Do It For The Money and she’s not dressing to turn you on either but she still might. This band is a good time!

Larkin Poe closed out the day at Whole Foods as we learned Jenns grandma had passed.

We made a new friend on the bus. The infamous sax player, Joe Morales.

After a stuttered trip home we headed back out to Fair Market, aka Casey’s backyard.

There was an embarrassing run in with Elle King’s band. After seeing them 10min earlier on the stage we didn’t recognize the guys. I mean, who can blame me? Have you seen Elle King? If not, make plans now. She’s captured Janis Joplin’s spirit. I woke up the next morning with her song X’s and O’s in my head.

Last we saw Old Crow Medicine Show who still seem to take plenty of medicine despite opening with Cocaine Habit followed by Alabama High Test, a song about meth. Ketch was sporting a very animated mustache but they did play all the hits.
